Precepts are rules about really important things. They are a saying, or ground rule that can motivate you. In a nutshell, precepts are words to live by. You can find a precept in a book you’re reading, in a song you’ve heard, or in a fortune cookie. It doesn’t matter where, but if a phrase rings true to you, and it can help guide you in making a decision, then make it your own personal precept.
We're going to do something slightly different. Each week someone in class will be responsible for choosing a precept. They will need to say where they found it and why they chose it. The rest of the class will then be responsible for writing a paragraph explaining what it means to them. Write them on this blog using the Comments link below.
